He previously worked as a private banker with Barclays Bank PLC, London, England, where he was solely responsible for providing financial services to the Bank’s high net worth clients with portfolios ranging from £500,000 to £5 million. He also worked as a Business Development Manager for Sara (London) Limited, England, an international polymer trading and distributing company with presence in North America, Asia and Africa.
Currently, he is the Executive Director of Somotex, Somovision and Electromart. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction with a revenue responsibility in excess of US$125 million. Under his leadership beginning 2011, Nii reinvigorated the Somovision brand and has chalked tremendous successes including winning the 2012 Ghana Retail Outlet of the year awarded by The Chartered Institute of Marketing. He oversaw the successful launch of Electromart Ghana Limited, which owns and operates multi-brand electronics retail outlets.
Nii holds an LLB (Hons) Business Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom, and, a Master of Business Administration from the Henley Management College (University of Reading), also in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Law Society, United Kingdom.
